3 Reasons to Choose Mesh PVC Outdoor Blinds

You may already know that you don't want to use a canvas or fabric material on your outdoor blinds. After doing some research, you've decided to buy PVC ones instead. You really like the look of mesh PVC blinds but want to check they'll do the right job. What are the advantages of installing mesh blinds?

1. Mesh Blinds Let in More Fresh Air

Mesh outdoor blinds let you see out of your windows but give you shade and privacy. They are good at blocking bugs. They also keep out sun, wind and rain, as long as it is not too heavy. Their biggest advantage as a blind is the mesh that is used to construct them. Unlike full-sheet PVC or canvas blinds, mesh doesn't block out air because it isn't a solid surface. It is full of tiny holes and gaps. These let fresh air in through the blinds. So, you'll feel cooler behind them. Things can't ever get too steamy because air can still circulate.

2. Mesh Blinds Keep Their Looks

Mesh blinds may do better cosmetically over time compared to blinds made from other materials. Unlike full-screen PVC blinds, they won't get condensation on them that impairs your view. These blinds won't get water-damaged or sun-faded, unlike some fabrics. Sun fading can make some fabric blinds look shabby after a few years even if the blind is still in good working order. Mesh also doesn't get scratched or marked as easily as other outdoor blind materials. Even if the mesh did get marks on it, these won't be as visible. The design of the mesh hides minor marks, and the PVC surface is easy to wipe down.

3. Mesh Blinds Last Longer

Even treated fabric and canvas outdoor blind materials give up the ghost as they get older. If a cloth blind gets wet a lot, then it may get watermarks on it; it may also start to go a bit mouldy if it doesn't dry out properly. Watermarks and mould are hard to clean off blind fabrics. Fabrics can start to rot if they aren't kept clean and dry. Mesh blinds last for longer. Their PVC materials don't rot, rust or degrade because of water or sun damage. They are also strong enough to withstand the effects of bad weather like wind, rain and even hail.

If you think that mesh is the way forward, talk to outdoor blinds companies. They can show you different styles, designs and colour schemes.
